A World Away

I'll just put the lyrics of this song on here. Did I mention Maine is calling!!!!

I am Jeremiah Dixon
I am a Geordie boy
A glass of wine with you, sir
And the ladies I'll enjoy
All Durham and Northumberland
Is measured up by my own hand
It was my fate from birth
To make my mark upon the earth...

He calls me Charlie Mason
A stargazer am I
It seems that I was born
To chart the evening sky
They'd cut me out for baking bread
But I had other dreams instead
This baker's boy from the west country
Would join the Royal Society...

We are sailing to Philadelphia
A world away from the coaly Tyne
Sailing to Philadelphia
To draw the line
A Mason-Dixon Line

Now you're a good surveyor, Dixon
But I swear you'll make me mad
The West will kill us both
You gullible Geordie lad
You talk of liberty
How can America be free
A Geordie and a baker's boy
In the forests of the Iroquois...

Now hold your head up, Mason
See America lies there
The morning tide has raised
The capes of Delaware
Come up and feel the sun
A new morning has begun
Another day will make it clear
Why your stars should guide us here...

We are sailing to Philadelphia
A world away from the coaly Tyne
Sailing to Philadelphia
To draw the line
A Mason-Dixon Line

"I Believe In The Church of Baseball"

What a nice relaxing weekend. Didn't really do much, but I felt I did a lot.

Big week ahead of us here at Baker. Including tomorrow which brings the MidAmerica Pioneers into town. I hope to be drunk by 3. Everyone should be there.

This year has been awesome. Still dreading the day that I will walk across the stage and handed a sheep skin. I'll be starting the job hunt soon. I've got some great leads, and hopefully I'll be around here.

Everything is going good. Life is good!

17 days until Spring Training and 9 days until Baker baseball. How I cannot wait!

One Last Hoorah!!!

Well this is it...I can taste freedom. It has all gone by so quickly, I'll miss it but I'm so ready to move on and start a life outside of college and Baker. Sure I've grown to love this place more than most people and have had the greatest time of my life I'm just ready to experience new things and see new places.

Tomorrow I start my final semester of college. It shouldn't be a terrible semester with one HUGE classes looming over my fate. If I don't pass the class look for a similar post sometime at this point next year. Senior Sem. in Communications is going to be by far the hardest challenge academically that I'll ever have to face but I'm ready for it. However I'm a little hesitant because as a senior I shouldn't be waiting until the last minute to do projects or wake up. I'm determined to change this and I hope I do.

I'm also determined to change some other key things in my life. I've noticed my relationship with my family continues to grow but in a strange sort of way, like I'm disattached. I've always been an independent since the age of 7, but I'm not understanding this new feeling.

I've also got very strong feelings for someone and will just have to keep working on that because I really have a strong desire for this girl and I'm not intent with not following my heart.

All in all life is great. I have great friends. I've met many more this semester and interterm that I will always cherish.

Shit I almost forgot this. My rounds ended me with a Baker Baseball schedule and TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY IS THE FIRST GAME!!!!

Saying that how about a happy music choice from my life soundtrack -- which is available for purchase for 3 easy payments of $19.95.

"Well, beat the drum and hold the phone - the sun came out today!
We're born again, there's new grass on the field.
A-roundin' third, and headed for home, it's a brown-eyed handsome man;
Anyone can understand the way I feel.

Oh, put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today;
Put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today;
Look at me, I can be Centerfield.

Well, I spent some time in the Mudville Nine, watchin' it from the bench;
You know I took some lumps when the Mighty Case struck out.
So Say Hey Willie, tell Ty Cobb and Joe DiMaggio;
Don't say "it ain't so", you know the time is now.

Yeah! I got it, I got it!

Got a beat-up glove, a homemade bat, and brand-new pair of shoes;
You know I think it's time to give this game a ride.
Just to hit the ball and touch 'em all - a moment in the sun;
(pop) It's gone and you can tell that one goodbye!

Yeah!"

Take a good look

So yesterday started off really shitty and it didn't really get any better. After cleaning up the basement I stepped in dog shit . So I took a nap and that changed my day. Had an awesome night, though I'm kind of feeling it today.

I'm hoping the Broncos and Panthers make it to the Super Bowl. It should be two great games.

umm...other stuff too!
